Extended Warranty with MECP Installation

In an effort to promote high-quality, professional installation, Memphis Car Audio offers a free one-year warranty extension on its products that are sold and installed by MECP certified installers. Memphis is the first company in the 12-volt industry to offer an MECP warranty extension. This is in addition to the existing product warranty.

"This program benefits everyone, the consumer, retailers who employ MECP-certified installers, and our company," said Memphis President Arthur Fulmer III. "After 42 years in the car audio business we've learned that products which are installed properly will perform better and last longer. Quality installation also enhances the consumer's satisfaction, which is simply good business."

Harry Massey, manager of CEMA's mobile electronics division, said the warranty extension plan was a great way to emphasize the importance of installation quality and industry professionalism.

"Memphis Car Audio is the only company offering a warranty extension of this kind," said Massey. "This shows they are a leader in the car audio industry because they care about education, training, and quality installation."

The MECP (Mobile Electronics Certified Professionals) program began in 1991. There are six levels of 12-volt installation certification: Installer, First Class Installer, Security Specialist, Autosound Specialist, and Master Installer. There are approximately 6,000 certified installers in the United States.

Memphis Car Audio received the MECP Manufacturer Of The Year Award in 2004.
